We were approached by Kamini’s husband and sons to plan a surprise birthday party for her. As the milestone marked her golden birthday we decided to go with a Champagne Gold theme. We added a touch of dark red roses as dark red is her favourite colour. Roses were used for its elegant yet classic look. It also is a flower that doesn’t expose much of its pollen.
Champagne has always been Kamini’s drink of choice so serving it at her 50th celebration was perfect. We took her love for Champagne one step further with having a Champagne flowing balloon wall and gave out Bottega Gold Prosecco Favors to her guest.
As Kamini is a professional Storyteller we decided to incorporate that element into the event. We had a mirror on the wall and asked guest to write their wishes for the birthday girl. We also had a story cauldron where guests put in a selection of items like ‘eye of newt’ and ‘diamonds’ in the cauldron. We also had all the guests create a story about Kamini using a few selected words which gave guests a chance to be part of the entire event.
